A compact, heavy blackletter with pronounced thick–thin modulation and sharply cut terminals. Strokes frequently end in triangular wedges and small hooked flicks, and curves transition into angular joins that create a faceted rhythm across words. The counters are relatively tight and the texture is dark and even, with letterforms showing subtle calligraphic asymmetry rather than strict geometric repetition. Capitals are broad and formal, while the lowercase maintains a steady vertical stance with distinctive, pointed finishing strokes.

Best suited for short display settings such as titles, mastheads, posters, packaging, and event materials where a historic or traditional tone is desired. It can work well for logos and wordmarks that benefit from a stamped or heraldic feel, and for pull quotes or section headers where strong texture is an asset. For long passages at small sizes, the dense color and tight counters may feel heavy, so it’s likely strongest in larger sizes with comfortable spacing.

This face projects a traditional, ceremonial mood with a distinctly historical flavor. Its confident weight and crisp contrast give it a dramatic, authoritative tone that feels suited to proclamations, guild marks, or heritage branding. The sharp terminals add a slightly stern edge, while the rounded bowls keep it from feeling overly brittle.

The design appears intended to evoke manuscript-era lettering in a bold, highly legible display form. Its strong contrast and wedge-cut endings prioritize visual presence and period character over neutrality, creating a consistent dark texture that reads as deliberate and emblematic.

The numerals follow the same wedge-ended, high-contrast construction and read as sturdy and stylized rather than strictly utilitarian. The sample text shows a consistent rhythm and word-shape cohesion, with pointed terminals and angular transitions creating a distinctive, patterned line texture.
