A robust italic serif with strongly bracketed wedge serifs and a pronounced calligraphic axis. Strokes show clear thick–thin modulation, with heavy verticals and tapered, pointed terminals that add snap to joins and curves. The letters are generously proportioned with broad counters and a steady baseline rhythm, while the italic slant and sculpted serifs create energetic movement across words. Lowercase forms are sturdy and rounded, with a single-storey a and g and a subtly looped, descending g that reinforces the handwritten influence.

Best suited to display settings where its heavy italic color and sculpted serifs can carry impact—headlines, magazine features, pull quotes, book jackets, and branded statements. It can also work for short subheads or lead-in text where a confident, classic emphasis is needed, but its strong slant and contrast make it less ideal for long passages at small sizes.

The overall tone is bold and emphatic, combining classic bookish cues with a lively, almost poster-like swagger. It feels authoritative and slightly theatrical, projecting confidence and urgency without becoming decorative to the point of novelty.

The design appears intended to deliver a traditional serif voice with heightened drama and motion, using italic calligraphic cues and sharp bracketed serifs to create a distinctive, attention-grabbing texture. It aims to balance conventional readability with a bold, expressive presence for editorial and promotional typography.

Capitals read especially monumental thanks to thick stems and sharp, wedge-like serifs; diagonals (V, W, X, Y) keep crisp points and strong contrast. Figures are weighty and tightly integrated with the text color, with curving forms (3, 5, 6, 9) showing pronounced modulation and a slightly oldstyle, editorial feel.
