A high-contrast italic serif with clearly bracketed serifs and a crisp, calligraphic stroke model. The letterforms show a pronounced rightward slant, tapered hairlines, and weight concentrated in the main stems, producing a lively thick–thin rhythm. Capitals are relatively wide with elegant, slightly flared serifs and sharp wedge-like joins, while lowercase forms feature compact bowls, angled entry strokes, and a single-storey italic “a” with a teardrop terminal. The overall texture is clean and bright, with noticeable diagonal stress and varied character widths that create a dynamic line color in text.

Well-suited for italic roles in books and long-form typography, such as emphasis, quotations, and introductions, where its high-contrast rhythm reads as polished and conventional. It also works effectively in editorial headlines, pull quotes, and refined branding where a classic serif italic voice is desired.

The font conveys a traditional, cultured tone with an editorial elegance. Its pronounced italic movement and sharp, high-contrast detailing suggest refinement and formality, evoking bookish and classical associations rather than casual or utilitarian ones.

The design appears intended as a conventional text-serif italic with a strong calligraphic underpinning, balancing readability with expressive slanted motion. Its contrast and sharp detailing aim to deliver a traditional, elegant emphasis style that remains orderly in continuous text.

Numerals share the same italic slant and contrast, with curving forms (notably 2, 3, 5, and 9) that read smoothly at display sizes. The design favors crisp edges and tapered terminals over softness, which helps it feel precise and sophisticated in emphasis settings.
