A sharply inclined serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and crisp, wedge-like serifs. Strokes show a calligraphic logic, with swelling curves, tapered joins, and occasional ball terminals that add a lively, drawn quality. Capitals are compact and slightly condensed in feel, while the lowercase is more fluid, with narrow internal apertures and distinctive italic constructions (single-storey a and g, long ascenders, and brisk entry/exit strokes). Numerals follow the same high-contrast rhythm, with sculpted curves and angled terminals that keep them visually consistent with the letters.

This face performs best in headlines, subheads, pull quotes, and short-to-medium editorial passages where contrast and slanted rhythm can be appreciated. It is especially well matched to magazine typography, book-cover titling, and branded editorial systems that want a classic serif voice with heightened drama.

The overall tone is polished and dramatic, projecting a refined, fashion-leaning elegance with a traditional literary underpinning. Its strong contrast and brisk italic motion create a sense of speed and sophistication, suited to high-end, attention-forward typography rather than quiet neutrality.

The font appears designed to deliver a traditional serif reading model infused with an assertive italic character—combining classical proportions with high-contrast, calligraphic detailing for impactful, upscale typography.

The design maintains a tight, energetic texture in running text: counters are relatively compact and joins are sharply articulated, which increases sparkle at larger sizes. Italic capitals carry clear calligraphic stress and pronounced terminals, giving display settings a distinctly stylized, editorial flavor.
