This is a high-contrast italic serif with a distinctly calligraphic construction and brisk rightward slant. Strokes show clear thick–thin modulation, with tapered entry/exit terminals and bracketed serifs that feel sharp yet controlled rather than heavy. Uppercase forms are compact and stately, while the lowercase has lively cursive proportions: rounded letters lean with diagonal stress, counters stay fairly open, and joins are smooth without becoming script-like. Numerals follow the same italic rhythm, with curving bowls and tapered ends that match the text color of the letters.

Well suited for long-form italics in books and editorial layouts, as well as emphasis, pull quotes, and introductory passages. It also performs well for refined headlines and literary or cultural titles where a classic italic voice is desired.

The overall tone reads traditional and polished, with an editorial, bookish sophistication. Its energetic italic flow adds a sense of refinement and emphasis, suggesting formality without feeling ornate or theatrical.

The design appears intended as a conventional text italic that provides clear emphasis with a refined, traditional serif voice. Its strong contrast and controlled calligraphic tapering aim to balance elegance with readability in continuous reading contexts.

The spacing and rhythm appear tuned for continuous text: the italic angle is consistent, curves are clean, and the contrast is strong enough to feel crisp at display sizes while still retaining a cohesive text texture. Capitals carry a more engraved, inscriptional presence that pairs naturally with the more cursive lowercase.
