A serifed display face with visibly irregular, worn edges and softly blunted terminals that mimic distressed print or brushy ink. Strokes show subtle swelling and tapering, with slight wobble in verticals and curves that keeps the texture lively without collapsing readability. Proportions are broadly traditional, but individual glyph widths and contours vary, creating a hand-rendered rhythm; counters are open and generally round, while joins and serifs look chipped or eroded rather than sharp. Numerals and lowercase maintain the same roughened finish, producing a cohesive, intentionally imperfect texture across the set.

Best suited to headlines, titles, and short passages where texture is a feature—such as posters, book covers, labels, and themed packaging. It also works well for theatrical or seasonal promotions and editorial pull quotes where a vintage, weathered voice is desired.

The overall tone feels handmade and timeworn—evoking old posters, bookplates, and aged letterpress work. Its rough texture can read playful and storybook in lighter contexts, or ominous and gothic-leaning when set large with tight palettes and dramatic copy.

The design appears aimed at delivering a familiar serif structure with a deliberately degraded finish, capturing the feel of aged printing, stamped ink, or hand-cut lettering. The goal is to add atmosphere and tactility while keeping letterforms recognizable for display reading.

In longer lines the distressed perimeter adds a steady grain that’s most noticeable in curved letters and at serif tips; generous spacing helps keep the texture from visually filling in at smaller sizes. The alphabetic forms remain fairly classic underneath the distressing, so the style communicates character without becoming overly decorative.
