This typeface is a decorative serif with sharply carved, notched strokes and frequent internal cut-ins that create a hollowed, chiseled look. Letterforms mix strong vertical stems with wedge-like terminals and thin, blade-like accents, producing an uneven, hand-cut rhythm across the alphabet. Curves are tightened into pointed joins, and counters often feel partially “bitten away,” especially in rounded characters. The overall texture is crisp and high-impact, with a slightly irregular, calligraphic edge that reads as intentionally stylized rather than strictly geometric.

Best suited to display contexts such as posters, event titles, packaging accents, book covers, and game or film branding where an atmospheric, gothic voice is desired. It works particularly well for short headlines, chapter openers, and wordmarks where the carved details can be appreciated at size.

The tone is dark and ceremonial, evoking old-world signage, occult or fantasy titling, and dramatic literary atmospheres. Its sharp incisions and shadowed cutouts give it a suspenseful, storybook quality—more enigmatic than friendly—while still feeling crafted and ornamental.

The design appears intended to simulate carved or ink-cut letterforms with deliberate voids and offset breaks that suggest shadowed depth. Its exaggerated terminals and notched counters prioritize mood and identity over neutral readability, aiming to deliver a distinctive, narrative-driven display style.

In running text the distinctive notches and narrow apertures create a lively sparkle, but the many cut-ins and pointed terminals can reduce clarity at small sizes. Numerals and capitals carry the strongest personality, and the design benefits from generous spacing and larger settings where the inner cuts and shadow-like separations remain visible.
