This serif has pronounced thick–thin modulation with crisp, wedge-like serifs and subtly flared stroke endings that give stems a sculpted, tapering feel. The letterforms show generous, rounded bowls and clear, confident apertures, balanced by sharp triangular entry/exit points on many diagonals and joins. Capitals read stately and stable with a traditional Roman silhouette, while lowercase maintains a sturdy rhythm with compact, well-defined counters and a clear two-storey “g” and “a.” Numerals follow the same high-contrast logic, with strong vertical stress and clean, pointed terminals that stay consistent across the set.

Well-suited to editorial systems where a classic serif voice is needed for headings and subheads, and it can also serve in book typography when set with appropriate size and spacing. The bold presence and crisp details make it effective for magazine covers, cultural branding, and pull quotes where a refined, authoritative tone is desired.

The overall tone is polished and traditional, with an editorial seriousness that feels at home in books and cultural publishing. Sharp terminals and dramatic contrast add a touch of sophistication and authority without becoming overly ornamental, projecting a composed, slightly dramatic voice.

The design appears intended to reinterpret classical serif construction with more sharply articulated terminals and flared stroke endings, creating a distinctive, sculptural texture. It aims to deliver a traditional reading voice while adding visual drama and a premium, editorial finish.

At larger sizes the crisp serifs and pointed terminals become a defining feature, giving headlines a carved, engraved character. In text, the strong contrast and tight interior shapes create a dark, confident color that favors careful typesetting and comfortable leading.
