A high-contrast serif with tall proportions, sharp hairlines, and sturdy vertical stems. Serifs are bracketed but crisp, with finely tapered terminals and a pronounced vertical stress that gives the curves a polished, engraved feel. Uppercase forms are narrow and stately, while the lowercase shows compact, controlled bowls and modest apertures, keeping the texture even in running text. Numerals follow the same contrast and elegance, with clear differentiation and a traditional, text-oriented construction.

Well suited to book and magazine typography where a traditional serif voice is desired, especially for headings, subheads, pull quotes, and section openers. It can also support refined branding and identity work—wordmarks, packaging, and invitations—where a formal, classic tone and high-contrast elegance are appropriate.

The overall tone is classic and literary, projecting refinement and authority rather than informality. Its sparkle from thin strokes and tight spacing reads as editorial and slightly dramatic, suited to sophisticated typographic voices.

The design appears intended as a conventional text serif with elevated contrast and tightened proportions, aiming for a refined, authoritative presence that bridges comfortable reading with a more editorial, high-end finish.

At display sizes the contrast and hairlines create a bright, rhythmic pattern; in longer passages the narrow set and crisp detailing produce a dense, composed color that benefits from comfortable leading. The italic shown is absent, and the roman carries the full stylistic message through contrast and serif detailing.
