A tightly condensed serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and long, tapering verticals that end in flared, wedge-like terminals. Curves are pinched and sculpted, with narrow counters and a slightly “carved” feel that produces sharp interior notches in letters like S and G. The lowercase shows a compact, upright build with small bowls and a single-storey a and g, while the overall rhythm stays strict and vertical. Numerals are similarly narrow and stylized, with distinctive teardrop-like joins and tapered strokes that maintain the font’s engraved, display-first personality.

Best suited to headlines and short display settings such as posters, book covers, mastheads, and brand marks where a strong vertical presence is desirable. It can also work for packaging and event materials that benefit from a vintage, high-drama serif voice, but is less comfortable for extended body text due to its tight counters and intense modulation.

The tone is dramatic and theatrical, evoking vintage poster lettering and classic editorial titling. Its sharp contrasts and compressed proportions create a sense of urgency and spectacle, leaning more toward showbill and headline energy than quiet text reading.

The letterforms appear designed to deliver maximum impact in narrow spaces, using strong contrast and flared terminals to create an engraved, poster-like signature. The intention is clearly display-oriented: striking silhouettes, a disciplined vertical stance, and memorable details that read as decorative while still maintaining a coherent serif structure.

The design relies on tight spacing and narrow apertures, so letterforms can visually merge at smaller sizes or in long passages. It shines when given room to breathe—especially in short words—where the sculpted terminals and knife-edge contrasts remain crisp and intentional.
