This typeface presents a calligraphic italic built from tapered strokes and crisp, wedge-like terminals. Letterforms lean consistently to the right with a lively, handwritten rhythm, combining smooth curves with occasional angular joins and pointed entry/exit strokes. Contrast is evident through thickened curves and slender connecting strokes, while counters remain open and shapes stay legible in running text. Capitals are more gestural and varied, with sweeping curves and subtle flourishes that create a refined, slightly dramatic silhouette.

Best suited to short-to-medium passages where the calligraphic texture can be appreciated: headlines, pull quotes, book or chapter titles, invitations, and refined packaging or branding. It can work for longer text at comfortable sizes, especially when a classic italic voice is desired, but will read most clearly when given room and not set too small.

The overall tone feels cultured and traditional, like formal handwriting used for titles and dignified statements. Its energetic slant and sharp terminals add a sense of motion and personality, balancing elegance with a faintly theatrical, storybook character.

The design appears intended to evoke formal pen lettering—an italic hand with controlled contrast and decorative terminals—delivering a traditional, expressive alternative to conventional text italics for display and editorial accents.

Spacing appears relatively tight and the italic motion is emphasized by long, tapered strokes on letters like f, j, y, and the diagonals in v/w/x. Numerals follow the same calligraphic logic, with angled stress and distinctive, slightly swashed curves that keep them stylistically consistent with the letters.
