A heavy, oldstyle-influenced serif with compact proportions, moderate aperture openings, and subtly flared stroke endings. Stems are robust and mostly uniform in weight, with gentle modulation and softly bracketed serifs that widen into the terminals rather than ending abruptly. Counters are relatively tight, and curves are full and rounded, giving letters a dense, solid texture. The lowercase shows a traditional two-storey “a” and “g”, with a fairly tall, firm-looking “t” and a small, clean “i” dot; numerals are strong and rounded with sturdy joins.

Well suited for headlines and subheads where a strong, classic presence is desired, as well as editorial layouts and book-cover titling that benefit from a dense, confident serif. It can also work for branding and posters that need traditional authority with a slightly crafted finish.

The overall tone is traditional and grounded, projecting credibility and seriousness without feeling overly ornate. Its weight and flared finishing give it a slightly crafted, print-forward character that reads as editorial and institutional rather than purely contemporary.

The design appears intended to deliver a bold, readable serif with traditional proportions and subtly flared terminals, balancing historical warmth with the firmness needed for display and prominent text settings.

At text sizes the face produces a dark, even color with a steady rhythm, aided by consistent stem weight and compact counters. The flared endings and bracketed connections add a subtle warmth and tactile quality while keeping the silhouette crisp.
