A high-contrast serif with strong thick–thin modulation and crisp, sharply tapered hairlines. Serifs are largely bracketed and flare into wedge-like terminals, giving the strokes a carved, engraved feel rather than a geometric one. The uppercase is tall and commanding with narrow joins and pointed apexes, while the lowercase stays compact with a notably small x-height and pronounced ascenders/descenders. Several letters show ball or teardrop terminals and subtle swash-like curves (notably on J, Q, y, and g), contributing to a lively, slightly irregular rhythm. Numerals appear oldstyle with varying heights and distinctive curls and terminals, matching the text’s calligraphic energy.

This face is well suited to headlines, pull quotes, posters, and book or magazine display typography where its contrast and ornate terminals can be appreciated. It can also work for branding and packaging that aims for a classic, upscale impression, especially when set with generous leading and moderate tracking.

The overall tone is formal and expressive—classic in its serif structure but heightened with display-like drama. It reads as literary and editorial, with a touch of vintage elegance from the ball terminals and oldstyle figure styling. The texture feels assertive and ceremonial, suited to attention-grabbing settings where contrast and character are desired.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional serif foundation with elevated display character—combining traditional proportions and bracketed serifs with ornamental terminals and oldstyle figures for a more theatrical, vintage-leaning voice.

Wide internal counters and sharp hairlines create bright, sparkling spaces in larger sizes, while the compact lowercase and busy terminals can build a dense texture in tight settings. Letterforms like the curving Q tail and the looped, double-storey g add distinctive personality that becomes more prominent at display sizes.
