A compact blackletter with tightly packed proportions and a strongly vertical rhythm. Strokes alternate between thick, solid stems and razor-thin hairline connections, with sharp wedge terminals and frequent notched joins that create a faceted, cut-paper look. Counters are small and angular, and many forms rely on broken strokes and pointed shoulders to build a dense, dark texture. Capitals are tall and decorative with pronounced entry/exit flicks, while lowercase maintains a consistent, rigid structure with narrow apertures and pointed feet.

Best suited for short, prominent settings such as posters, mastheads, album or event titles, brand marks, and labels where the dense blackletter texture is a feature. It can also work for certificates or invitations when a historic or ceremonial voice is desired, but benefits from generous sizing and spacing for clarity.

The font conveys a traditional, authoritative gothic tone with a ceremonial, old-world presence. Its spiky details and dense color feel formal and emphatic, evoking historical print, heraldry, and dramatic editorial styling rather than casual reading.

The design appears intended to deliver a classic blackletter voice with strong verticality and dramatic contrast, emphasizing ornamental cuts, notches, and wedge terminals to create a dense, traditional texture. It prioritizes impact and period flavor over neutral readability in long passages.

At text sizes it produces a continuous, textured “weave” typical of blackletter, with distinctive uppercase personalities and a lively pattern of internal nicks and hooks. Numerals follow the same cut, angular logic, reading as stylized display figures rather than utilitarian text numerals.
