A narrow serif design with compact proportions and a lively, uneven edge texture that reads like worn ink or rough letterpress. Strokes show moderate thick–thin modulation with wedge-like, slightly flared terminals and small, irregular serifs that vary subtly from glyph to glyph. Counters are fairly open for the width, while bowls and joins carry a soft, imperfect contour that gives the set a handmade, printed-on-paper character. The overall rhythm is steady but intentionally rough, with minor shape wobble and texture contributing as much as the outlines.

This style works well for display typography where texture is an asset: posters, book covers, title treatments, and editorial headings. It also suits labels, packaging, and branding that want an aged, artisanal, or heritage-leaning impression. In longer passages it can be used for short blocks or pull quotes when a deliberately rough print texture is desired.

The font conveys a rustic, timeworn tone—part historical print, part handmade signage. Its distressed edges add grit and warmth, suggesting authenticity and age rather than polish. The narrow stance and sharpish terminals lend a slightly stern, storybook or frontier mood.

The design appears intended to emulate vintage printed letterforms with deliberately imperfect outlines, combining classic serif structure with a controlled distressed finish. Its narrow proportions help fit impactful text into tight spaces while keeping a strong, old-fashioned presence.

In the text sample, the texture remains visible at display and paragraph sizes, creating a consistent “worn” color across lines. Numerals follow the same roughened serif logic and sit firmly on the baseline, reinforcing the utilitarian, printed feel.
