A sharply constructed blackletter with broken strokes, pointed terminals, and pronounced thick–thin modulation. Capitals are highly ornamented with internal branching and occasional enclosed counters, giving them a crest-like presence, while the lowercase is more compact and text-like with consistent vertical rhythm. The design favors narrow bodies and tight apertures, with frequent diamond-like joins and wedge serifs that keep lines crisp and angular. Numerals share the same calligraphic stress and slightly varied widths, maintaining a cohesive, inked texture across mixed setting.

Best suited to display applications such as headlines, mastheads, and branding where its ornate capitals and broken-stroke texture can be appreciated. It also fits packaging, labels, invitations, and certificate-style layouts that benefit from a historic, formal tone, and works well in short passages when set with generous size and spacing.

The font conveys a medieval, ceremonial mood with a stern, traditional voice. Its dense texture and spiky detailing read as formal and historic, lending an old-world gravity suited to proclamations, titles, and gothic-inspired themes.

The design appears intended to evoke traditional manuscript and early print blackletter, combining decorative capitals with a more regular, readable lowercase for practical setting. Its strong contrast and angular construction aim to produce an unmistakably historic texture with clear hierarchy between title and text roles.

Uppercase forms are notably more decorative than the lowercase, creating strong hierarchy in headline use. At text sizes, the heavy internal detailing and tight counters can darken the overall color, so spacing and size choice will strongly affect clarity.
