A sharply faceted blackletter with compact, vertical proportions and pronounced thick–thin modulation. Strokes terminate in pointed wedges and spur-like beaks, with frequent breaks and inner counters shaped like narrow diamonds and slits. Capitals are decorative and complex, using split stems, notched bowls, and angular terminals; lowercase maintains a rhythmic, picket-fence texture with tightly spaced verticals and abrupt joins. Numerals follow the same chiseled logic, with strong diagonals and small, blade-like serifs that keep the set visually consistent.

Best suited to display typography such as headlines, posters, album or event graphics, mastheads, and branding marks where a historic or ceremonial tone is desired. It also works well for short passages like quotes, invitations, and certificate-style layouts where ornament and texture are an asset.

The face conveys a traditional, old-world authority—formal, ceremonial, and slightly severe. Its dense texture and pointed detailing evoke manuscripts, heraldry, and period print, giving text a dramatic, historic gravity.

The design appears intended to reproduce a traditional blackletter voice with crisp, engraved-like edges and a strongly rhythmic vertical pattern. Its ornate capitals and fractured, calligraphic construction suggest an emphasis on period authenticity and dramatic display impact rather than neutral readability.

In continuous setting, the strong vertical rhythm creates a dark, even color, while distinctive capitals provide emphasis for initials, titles, and short phrases. The narrow interior spaces and frequent angular joins increase visual density, favoring display sizes over extended small text.
