This is a high-contrast italic serif with sharply tapered joins and bracketed wedge-like serifs that give strokes a calligraphic, pen-driven feel. Curves show an oblique stress and a lively rhythm, with thin hairlines that narrow to points on terminals and heavier diagonal stems that keep the texture crisp. Proportions are moderately traditional: caps are stately and slightly narrow, lowercase is compact with a normal x-height, and the overall spacing reads even while individual letters vary naturally in width. Numerals follow the same italicized, high-contrast logic, with slender forms and pronounced thick–thin modulation.

Well-suited to editorial typography such as magazines, book interiors, and long-form reading where an italic is needed for emphasis, quotations, or foreign words. It also performs nicely in refined titles, pull quotes, and invitations where a classic, high-contrast italic can add elegance and hierarchy.

The tone is refined and literary, evoking classic book typography and editorial elegance. Its energetic slant and bright, sharp detailing add a sense of sophistication and motion without feeling ornamental or playful.

The design appears intended as a conventional text serif italic that prioritizes classic proportions, crisp contrast, and a calligraphic flow. It aims to deliver a familiar, authoritative voice for reading and editorial composition while adding a distinctive, energetic italic character.

The italic shapes are strongly idiomatic, with pronounced entry/exit strokes and delicate hairline finials, so it benefits from comfortable sizes and good reproduction where thin strokes won’t disappear. Round letters maintain generous counters, helping the face stay readable despite the contrast.
