A conventional serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and clearly bracketed, wedge-like serifs. The letterforms show a gently calligraphic, oldstyle construction: rounded bowls with softened joins, an angled crossbar on the lowercase “e,” and a two-storey “g” with a distinct ear. Capitals are stately and moderately wide, with crisp terminals and a balanced rhythm; the numerals follow an oldstyle sensibility with varied widths and open counters, especially in “3,” “5,” and “9.” Overall spacing feels even and text-oriented, with sharp enough detailing for display sizes while maintaining a steady paragraph color.

Well-suited to book interiors, essays, and other longform reading where a familiar serif voice and strong stroke contrast support a refined page color. It also works effectively for magazine features, literary branding, and dignified headlines where classic proportions and crisp serifs communicate trust and tradition.

The font conveys a traditional, cultivated tone associated with print editorial work and book typography. Its high-contrast strokes and sculpted serifs read as serious and established, lending a sense of heritage and authority without becoming overly ornamental.

The design appears intended as a modern, practical interpretation of classic oldstyle text serifs: readable and conventional in structure, but with enough contrast and sharp detailing to feel polished in contemporary editorial layouts.

Several letters show subtle, humanist asymmetries that keep the texture lively (notably in “a,” “e,” and “s”). Descenders are moderately long and the curves are generously rounded, which helps maintain clarity in continuous text while preserving a refined, engraved-like crispness at larger sizes.
