This typeface is an upright serif with gently flared stroke endings and subtly bracketed, wedge-like serifs. Strokes feel softly modeled rather than sharply contrasted, giving the letterforms an even, steady color in text. Capitals are stately and wide-set with classical proportions, while the lowercase shows humanist shaping: open apertures, rounded joins, and slightly swelling stems that taper into terminals. Curves are smooth and generous (notably in C, O, and Q), and diagonals in letters like V, W, and Y retain a crisp, controlled finish without looking brittle.

It performs well for book typography and other extended reading contexts where a stable texture and classical serif cues help legibility. The refined, slightly calligraphic finishing also makes it a strong choice for magazine features, cultural institutions, and understated branding, as well as tasteful invitations and formal materials.

The overall tone is traditional and bookish, with a quiet sophistication that reads as editorial and literary rather than decorative. The flared endings add warmth and a faint calligraphic echo, creating an inviting, cultured voice suitable for long-form reading.

The design appears intended to blend classical serif proportions with softened, flared detailing, prioritizing comfortable readability while adding a gentle, crafted character. It aims for a timeless page presence that feels authoritative without becoming rigid.

Figures appear proportional and sturdy, matching the text weight without calling attention to themselves; the round forms (0, 8, 9) harmonize with the broad curves in the letters. The lowercase a is double-storey and the g is single-storey, reinforcing a readable, text-oriented texture. In the sample paragraph, spacing and rhythm produce a calm, continuous flow with clear word shapes.
