This typeface uses a blackletter-inspired skeleton with a forward slant and heavy, inky strokes. Letterforms are built from angular, chiseled masses, but their contours are intentionally roughened: edges break into thorny spikes, small notches, and torn-looking bite marks that create a distressed silhouette. Counters are irregular and sometimes partially pinched, and terminals often taper into sharp hooks. Spacing and widths feel uneven by design, producing a jittery rhythm that reads like distressed display lettering rather than a precise text face.

Best suited to short display settings where texture and atmosphere are the priority: horror posters, haunted event branding, metal or dark ambient album packaging, game title screens, and high-impact headlines. It works especially well when set large with generous tracking so the distressed edges remain legible and intentional.

The overall tone is sinister and confrontational, with a ritualistic, medieval energy pushed into horror territory through abrasion and spikes. It suggests danger, decay, and the handmade brutality of scratched ink or carved shapes. The italic lean adds urgency and motion, amplifying the sense of unease.

The design appears intended to merge blackletter structure with a heavily distressed, spiked surface treatment to create immediate genre signaling. Its goal is atmospheric impact and visual aggression—delivering a readable gothic base while layering in abrasion and irregularity for a gritty, haunted finish.

Uppercase forms maintain a recognizable blackletter structure while the lowercase becomes more wiry and fragmented, increasing texture in running lines. Numerals carry the same shredded edge treatment, keeping the set visually consistent. At smaller sizes, the rough contours can merge into dark texture, while larger sizes emphasize the jagged detail and dramatic silhouettes.
