A compact serif with sturdy, nearly monoline strokes and pronounced flaring into bracketed serifs. The letterforms feel tightly set with short extenders, firm vertical stress, and broad, weighty horizontals that reinforce a strong baseline. Counters are relatively small and openings are controlled, giving the face a dense texture in paragraphs. Terminals are crisp and wedge-like, and the overall drawing reads as deliberate and sculpted rather than delicate or calligraphic.

Well suited to headlines, subheads, and editorial titling where a compact, high-impact serif is needed. It can also work for packaging and branding that wants a traditional, authoritative feel, and for posters where the dense texture helps text stand out. For longer text, it will appear dark and firm, best when ample leading and margins are available.

The tone is confident and traditional, with a slightly old-style, newspaper-like authority. Its dense color and assertive serifs create a serious, institutional voice that can also feel vintage when used at larger sizes. The overall impression is disciplined and emphatic rather than playful or airy.

The design appears intended to deliver strong presence in limited horizontal space while retaining classic serif cues. The flared stroke endings and compact proportions suggest a focus on punchy readability and a confident, heritage-leaning voice for editorial and display use.

In the sample text, the bold color holds together well across long lines, producing a consistent dark rhythm. At display sizes, the flared stroke endings and wedge terminals become a defining feature, adding character without resorting to ornate detailing.
