A compact serif with bracketed, wedge-like terminals and subtly calligraphic stroke modulation. Curves are smoothly modeled and the joins are slightly softened, giving counters a rounded, bookish feel while keeping edges crisp. Uppercase forms are narrow and steady, with pointed apexes and restrained flare at stems; diagonals in letters like N, V, W, and Y read taut and efficient. The lowercase shows a traditional, text-oriented construction with a small, neat ear on the g, a gently sloped crossbar on e, and a right-leaning, compact t; numerals appear oldstyle with noticeable ascenders/descenders that blend naturally into running text.

Well suited to book interiors, essays, and editorial layouts where a classic serif voice is needed with an efficient footprint. The oldstyle numerals make it particularly comfortable for text with frequent figures—dates, references, and notes—while the narrow capitals can help conserve horizontal space in headings and captions.

The overall tone is traditional and composed, evoking printed-book typography and understated editorial polish. It feels scholarly and dependable rather than decorative, with a calm rhythm that supports long-form reading.

The design appears intended as a conventional text serif that balances traditional detailing with a compact, practical rhythm for dense typography. Its moderated contrast and bracketed serifs aim for readability and a familiar, literary character in continuous reading.

In the sample text, the spacing and proportions create a tight, economical color that remains clear at display sizes. The italic is not shown; all visible forms keep a straight, upright posture with modest contrast that avoids looking brittle.
