A decorative serif with a hand-cut, chiseled silhouette and pronounced angularity. Strokes are heavy and largely monoline in feeling, with subtle swelling and tapering that reads more like ink drag or carving than high-contrast calligraphy. Serifs and terminals are sharp and wedge-like, often forming small triangular feet and spurs; corners are intentionally uneven, giving each glyph a slightly distressed, irregular edge. Proportions are compact with blocky counters and narrow apertures, while capitals feel tall and emphatic; overall spacing appears fairly tight in text, producing a dense, rhythmic color.

Best suited to display use where texture and atmosphere are desired: titles, posters, packaging, and identity elements for fantasy, historical, or craft-themed projects. It can work for short editorial pull quotes or chapter heads, but the dense texture and tight apertures make it less comfortable for long passages at small sizes.

The font conveys an old-world, medieval tone—part gothic and part folk-crafted—suggesting hand-lettered signage, manuscript-inspired display, or fantasy setting typography. Its roughened edges and angular forms give it a gritty, tactile presence that feels more artisanal than refined.

The design appears intended to evoke manuscript and woodcut/stonecut lettering through irregular contours, wedge serifs, and a compact, forceful rhythm. It prioritizes character and period flavor over neutrality, aiming for high impact and a strongly thematic voice.

In running text the sharp joins, notched curves, and squared bowls create a strong texture that becomes the dominant visual feature. Numerals match the same carved treatment, with sturdy forms and distinctive, angular terminals that keep the set cohesive.
