Beta Font License - Font Hero

Version 1.0 — Effective during the FontHero.com Beta Period.

1. Overview

Cedar Lake Ventures, Inc. (“we,” “us,” or “our”) grants you a free, time-limited license to use the fonts made available during the beta period of FontHero.com (“Beta Fonts”). You may use these fonts in real creative and commercial work, so long as you follow the terms below.

2. Permitted Uses (During Beta)

Use the fonts in personal, commercial, and client projects that begin during the beta period.
Embed or distribute the fonts as needed for legitimate use — for example, on a website (including as webfonts), in a PDF/ebook, in print, or as part of delivered design files to a client.
Convert the font files (e.g., TTF ↔ WOFF2 or other equivalent formats) for technical convenience, provided the converted fonts remain functionally identical and include this same license.
Continue using the fonts in projects that started during the beta period, even after the beta ends.

3. Restrictions

Do not sell, rent, or sublicense the fonts themselves.
Do not upload or redistribute the fonts on font-sharing websites, marketplaces, or repositories.
Do not modify, rename, or create derivative fonts (including altered metadata).
Do not remove or alter copyright, author, or license information.
Do not use the fonts to train, seed, or assist any AI or machine-learning system.
Do not start new projects with the fonts after the beta ends unless you obtain a new license from us.
No scraping, bulk or automated downloading, or archiving of the catalog.

4. Distribution & Integrity

When you distribute the raw font file as part of a legitimate use (e.g., webfont deployment or client deliverables), you must keep the font’s original name and metadata intact.
Include a copy of this license with any such distribution.
You may not re-package the fonts for standalone redistribution or discovery outside of your project’s needs.

5. License Duration & Notice

This license is valid only during the FontHero.com beta period.
We will notify you at the email address associated with your FontHero.com account when the beta ends.
After the beta, any new use of the Beta Fonts requires a commercial license from us.
Projects begun during the beta may continue to use the fonts indefinitely.

6. Ownership

All Beta Fonts are and remain the exclusive property of Cedar Lake Ventures, Inc. This license grants usage rights only — not ownership, authorship, or trademark rights.

7. Warranty & Liability

AS IS. The fonts are provided without any warranty, express or implied. We are not responsible for any damages or losses resulting from their use. Your sole remedy is to stop using the fonts.

8. Other Terms

This license is non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable if you violate its terms.
Governing law: State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Venue and jurisdiction may be specified in our site Terms.
We may post updated or successor license terms on FontHero.com or send them by email to registered users.
