This serif typeface combines high-contrast strokes with subtly flared, bracketed endings that give stems a sculpted, tapering finish. Letterforms are upright and fairly traditional in structure, with smooth curves, crisp joins, and a measured rhythm across text. Capitals feel stately and slightly condensed in impression, while the lowercase maintains a moderate x-height and clear counters. Numerals follow the same contrasty, old-style sensibility, with graceful curves and tapered terminals that keep the set visually consistent.

Well-suited to long-form editorial settings such as books, essays, and magazine typography where contrast and serif detailing can carry a classic voice. It also works effectively for display applications—headlines, pull quotes, and refined branding—where the flared terminals and sculpted strokes can be appreciated.

The overall tone is polished and literary, evoking established publishing and classic print typography. Its sharp contrast and flared detailing add a sense of ceremony and refinement, while the steady proportions keep it composed rather than ornamental. The result feels authoritative and cultured without becoming overly delicate.

The design appears intended to deliver a classic serif reading experience with a slightly more sculptural, contemporary finish through flared terminals and pronounced contrast. It balances traditional proportions and familiarity with enough stroke character to stand out in editorial and brand-forward contexts.

Curves and diagonals show a calligraphic influence, with stroke modulation that reads especially clearly in round letters and in the diagonals of V/W/Y. The flared stroke endings soften what would otherwise be hard, sharp serifs, helping the design feel carved and editorial. In larger sizes the detailing becomes more expressive, while in text sizes the consistent rhythm supports comfortable reading.
