A right-leaning serif with pronounced calligraphic influence and strong thick–thin modulation. Serifs are bracketed and often taper into sharp, beak-like tips, while curves show crisp hairlines and fuller, ink-trap-like joins at stress points. The lowercase is lively and slightly irregular in rhythm, with single-storey a and g, a looped, descending q, and a compact, angular r; ascenders are prominent and the overall texture is dark and energetic. Numerals read as oldstyle figures, blending with the lowercase through varying heights and soft, sculpted terminals.

Best suited to display and short-to-medium text where its contrast and animated italic forms can be appreciated—headlines, pull quotes, magazine titling, and literary or historical book covers. It can also work for formal stationery and invitations, especially when a classic serif voice with extra movement is desired.

The tone is traditional and bookish, but with a confident, showy italic swagger. It evokes classical editorial typography and formal invitations, adding drama and a hint of romantic, vintage flair through its sharp terminals and flowing strokes.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional serif foundation with heightened elegance and momentum, using a robust italic structure and calligraphic detailing to create a more expressive, attention-getting texture than a purely text-optimized face.

Spacing appears somewhat compact, helping the face build a dense, emphatic color in lines of text. Many strokes end in tapered points or teardrop-like terminals, and the italic construction is evident across both capitals and lowercase, giving words a continuous forward motion.
