This serif shows pronounced thick–thin modulation with a calligraphic feel and gently bracketed serifs. Capitals are stately and open, with moderate proportions and clean, tapered terminals; strokes transition smoothly, and curves carry a subtle diagonal stress. The lowercase is compact with a notably short x-height, tall ascenders/descenders, and round, teardrop-like dots, giving the text a lively vertical rhythm. Numerals appear oldstyle (ranging), with varying heights and extenders that harmonize with the lowercase texture.

Well suited to book and magazine typography, especially for literary and editorial settings where a classic serif voice is desired. The dignified capitals and expressive oldstyle numerals also make it a good option for headings, pull quotes, invitations, and identity work that benefits from a traditional, cultivated tone.

The overall tone is traditional and bookish, balancing refinement with a slightly warm, humanist softness. It reads as formal without feeling rigid, suggesting an editorial, heritage sensibility suited to established institutions and long-form reading.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional, readable serif with elevated contrast and a traditionally proportioned lowercase. Its short x-height, bracketed serifs, and oldstyle figures suggest an aim toward classic typography and an editorial texture reminiscent of printed literature.

Text color is strong and crisp, with clear counters and confident serifs that help maintain structure at display and text sizes. The compact lowercase and energetic extenders create a distinctive cadence, while the high contrast adds elegance but can make very small sizes feel more delicate than sturdier text serifs.
