A very heavy, high-contrast serif with pronounced vertical stress and crisp, tapering hairlines that cut into otherwise massive stems. Serifs are sharp and refined, often reading as wedge-like terminals with minimal bracketing, creating a carved, chiseled rhythm. Counters are compact and dark, with rounded bowls that show distinctive internal thinning and incision-like transitions, especially in letters such as B, O, S, and g. The overall spacing feels tight and weighty, with a strong baseline presence and a clear, upright stance.

Best suited for large-scale typography where contrast and silhouette can be appreciated: magazine mastheads, headlines, theatrical posters, premium branding, and packaging. It can work for short pull quotes or deck copy when set large with generous leading, but it is less ideal for small body text due to its dense counters and delicate hairline features.

The tone is bold and theatrical, combining a fashion/editorial polish with a slightly gothic, poster-like punch. Its stark light–dark modulation gives it a luxurious, high-drama voice that feels formal, commanding, and attention-seeking. The shapes suggest prestige and tradition, but with enough severity to read as modern and assertive in display settings.

This design appears intended as a statement display serif that amplifies contrast and vertical emphasis to produce a luxe, editorial look. The exaggerated thick–thin transitions and sharp, minimally bracketed serifs prioritize visual impact and a sculptural, engraved feel over quiet, continuous reading.

In the sample text, the dense color and sharp contrast create strong word shapes and a distinctive texture, but the tight apertures and hairline cuts can fill in at smaller sizes. Numerals and capitals are especially impactful, with the figures showing the same sculpted contrast and angular finishing details.
