This serif shows pronounced thick–thin modulation with crisp, wedge-like terminals and compact proportions. Serifs are mostly bracketed but finish with sharp, knife-edged points that give strokes a sculpted, engraved feel. Capitals are tall and relatively narrow, with elegant curves and tapered joins; the overall rhythm is tight and vertical, with clear punctuation-like finishing on stroke ends. Lowercase forms are compact with a moderate x-height, narrow apertures, and a slightly calligraphic stress, while numerals follow the same high-contrast logic with slim horizontals and firm verticals.

Well-suited to editorial typography where contrast and refined detailing are assets, such as magazines, book jackets, and culture writing. It also works effectively for display headlines, pull quotes, and brand wordmarks that want a classic serif presence with extra bite in the terminals.

The tone is polished and traditional, leaning toward literary and editorial sophistication. The sharp terminals and strong contrast add a sense of drama and authority, making the voice feel formal and deliberate rather than casual.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional text-serif foundation with heightened contrast and sharpened detailing for stronger display impact. Its compact proportions and consistent vertical emphasis suggest a focus on elegant, space-efficient typography that still feels premium and assertive.

At larger sizes the pointed terminals and fine hairlines read as crisp and stylish, while the compressed spacing and narrow counters can make dense setting feel more intense. Rounded letters like C, G, O, and Q keep a smooth, controlled curvature that balances the otherwise angular finishing.
