A conventional serif with crisp, bracketed serifs and clearly articulated thick–thin modulation. Capitals are proportioned with a dignified, slightly narrow stance and sharp, tapered terminals, while the lowercase keeps compact proportions and a restrained rhythm. The italic is distinctly calligraphic, with flowing entry/exit strokes, a single-storey “a,” and more pronounced diagonals that add motion without becoming decorative. Numerals follow the same contrast and serif treatment, with clear, bookish shapes and consistent alignment.

Well-suited to long-form reading such as books, journals, and magazine features where a classic serif voice is desired. It can also serve in refined branding and formal print materials—chapter titles, pull quotes, programs, and invitations—especially when pairing roman and italic for hierarchy and emphasis.

The overall tone is cultivated and traditional, projecting a quiet authority associated with editorial and literary typography. It feels formal without being cold, with the italic adding a touch of humanist warmth and movement.

Designed to deliver a traditional text-serif reading experience with a refined, high-contrast silhouette and a more expressive italic for emphasis. The intention appears to be a versatile, literature-oriented workhorse that remains polished in both display lines and continuous text.

Stroke contrast is emphasized in curves and joins, giving letters a crisp sparkle at text sizes, while the serifs remain controlled and not overly heavy. The design balances sharpness in terminals with smooth, rounded bowls, helping maintain clarity in continuous reading.
