A high-contrast serif with softly bracketed, slightly flared serifs and a distinctly hand-inked texture. Strokes taper and swell with calligraphic rhythm, and many terminals end in teardrop-like or subtly blunted shapes. The outlines are intentionally irregular, with mottled counters and roughened edges that read like worn letterpress or ink spread. Capitals feel broad and weighty while lowercase forms keep compact bowls and relatively small interiors, producing a lively, uneven color across words.

Well suited to book covers, chapter openers, headlines, and poster work where a historic or crafted feel is desirable. It can also add character to branding and packaging—especially for products that benefit from an old-world, artisanal, or folkloric mood. Use with ample size and spacing when readability is critical, since the distressed texture and tight interiors can darken in long passages.

The overall tone is antique and storybook-like, with a slightly mischievous, theatrical edge. Its distressed surface and lively modulation evoke vintage printing, old manuscripts, and folk or fantasy ephemera rather than a polished modern editorial voice.

The design appears intended to blend old-style proportions with a deliberately imperfect, inked finish, creating a typeface that feels printed and aged rather than digitally pristine. Its strong modulation and textured counters aim to deliver instant atmosphere and personality in display typography.

Numerals and punctuation carry the same ink-worn character, helping the font stay consistent in mixed content. The texture is strong enough to become a defining feature at display sizes, while at smaller sizes it may reduce clarity as counters and fine joins fill in.
