A narrow, upright serif with an intentionally uneven, hand-inked construction. Strokes show moderate contrast and frequent thickened terminals, with subtle swelling and tapering that suggests a pen or brush. Edges are rough and slightly broken, producing a printed-from-worn-type or distressed impression. Letterforms lean toward oldstyle proportions: round characters are compact, ascenders feel prominent, and the lowercase reads with a comparatively small x-height. Spacing and widths vary by glyph, adding a lively, irregular rhythm in words and lines.

Best suited to display sizes where its distressed texture and lively stroke shapes can be appreciated—such as book covers, posters, theatrical or seasonal promos, artisanal packaging, labels, and short editorial headlines. It can also work for brief blurbs or pull quotes, but the rough edges and narrow forms may become busy in long, small-size body text.

The font conveys a vintage, handcrafted tone—part old-world and literary, part playful and quirky. Its textured outlines and soft irregularities evoke aged paper, folk printing, and hand-lettered signage rather than clean modern typesetting.

The design appears intended to mimic imperfect, hand-rendered or timeworn printing, pairing oldstyle serif structure with deliberate roughness for character. Its variable rhythm and textured finish aim to add warmth, narrative atmosphere, and a crafted feel to otherwise straightforward typography.

Capitals feature decorative, calligraphic inflections (notably in curved letters and diagonals), while the lowercase remains simpler but still retains irregular terminals and occasional hooked entry/exit strokes. Numerals follow the same hand-cut, slightly uneven logic, helping the set feel cohesive in mixed alphanumeric settings.
