A narrow, old-style serif with visibly roughened outlines and uneven stroke edges that mimic worn printing or hand-inked lettering. Strokes show moderate contrast with tapering, slightly blunted terminals and occasional flicks, creating a lively, irregular rhythm. Proportions feel compact, with a relatively short x-height and tall ascenders/descenders that add a slightly spindly verticality. Counters are open but not geometric, and widths vary subtly from glyph to glyph, reinforcing a handcrafted, distressed finish.

Best suited to display roles where texture is a feature—book covers, chapter openers, historical or fantasy titling, theatrical posters, and themed packaging. It can work for short passages or pull quotes when set generously, but it reads most confidently at larger sizes where the roughened detail has room to breathe.

The overall tone is antique and story-driven—evoking aged paper, folk tales, and early book typography with a hint of the uncanny. Its rough texture and calligraphic inflections give it a human, imperfect warmth rather than a clean, modern neutrality.

The design appears intended to recreate the feel of aged, imperfect letterforms—somewhere between early printed serif typography and quick pen-drawn capitals—while maintaining enough structure for readable display text. The consistent distress and variable widths suggest an emphasis on atmosphere and authenticity over pristine uniformity.

In text settings the distressed edges remain prominent, adding atmosphere quickly but also increasing visual noise at smaller sizes. The figures follow the same hand-worn treatment, and the italics-like energy comes from stroke taper and terminal flicks rather than an actual slant.
