This is a high-contrast italic serif with a lively, calligraphic construction and crisp, bracketed serifs. Strokes show strong thick–thin modulation with tapered terminals and sharp entry/exit strokes, giving the outlines a clean, carved feel. Letterforms are moderately narrow with a forward slant and an energetic rhythm; curves are smooth and open, while joins and serifs stay precise rather than soft. Numerals and capitals carry the same italic stress and contrast, producing a cohesive, text-oriented texture at paragraph sizes.

It performs well for editorial typography—book and magazine text, pull quotes, intros, and other passages where an italic with clear hierarchy is needed. It also suits refined display applications such as invitations, cultural programs, and premium branding where a classic, elegant tone is desired.

The overall tone is polished and literary, balancing traditional bookish authority with a slightly expressive, handwritten elegance. It reads as formal and cultivated rather than casual, suited to contexts that want a classic voice with motion and flair.

The design appears intended as a conventional, highly readable italic serif that brings traditional proportions and high-contrast refinement to extended text, while retaining enough calligraphic movement to feel expressive in headings and emphasis.

The italics have a noticeable left-to-right sweep and a consistent diagonal stress, which helps create strong word shapes in running text. High contrast and sharp detailing suggest it will look best when given enough size and spacing to keep fine hairlines and tight counters from visually filling in.
