A robust serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and strongly bracketed, wedge-like serifs. The forms are wide and steady, with generous counters and a confident, even rhythm across uppercase and lowercase. Many joins and terminals show subtle flaring and beak-like shaping, while the curves (C, G, O, S) are smooth and weighty. Lowercase features compact, sturdy bowls and a moderate x-height, with a single-storey g and a single-storey a that reads as traditional and text-forward. Numerals are heavy and open, with rounded, full forms and clear differentiation.

Well-suited to headlines, subheads, and editorial layouts where a traditional serif voice is desired with substantial impact. It can also serve book covers and display-heavy branding that benefits from classic, print-rooted character. For extended text, it will read best at comfortable sizes and with ample leading to balance its dense typographic color.

The overall tone is classic and editorial, projecting authority and seriousness without feeling ornate. Its bold presence and traditional detailing evoke book typography, legacy print, and institutional communication. The sturdy shapes give it a dependable, grounded voice suited to formal messaging.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional, bookish serif style with extra visual authority—combining classic bracketed serifs and strong contrast with broad proportions for presence. It emphasizes recognizability and readability while leaning toward display strength in both caps and lowercase.

In running text, the strong contrast and wide set create a dark, impactful color on the page, especially at larger sizes. The uppercase has a stately weight and the lowercase maintains clarity through open apertures and firm serifs, supporting legibility while remaining emphatic.
