A distressed serif with rugged, broken edges and a visibly mottled fill that mimics worn ink or rough printing. Letterforms show classical, old-style proportions with wedge-like serifs and slightly uneven stroke boundaries, giving each glyph a carved, stamped feel. Curves are not perfectly smooth and counters often appear slightly ragged, while capitals carry strong vertical presence and distinctive decorative terminals. Numerals follow the same aged treatment, with clear silhouettes and subtle irregularities that keep the texture consistent across the set.

Best suited to display settings where the distressed texture can be appreciated—such as posters, title treatments, packaging, and themed branding. It also works well for horror, fantasy, historical, or rustic concepts on book covers and entertainment graphics; for longer passages, larger sizes and generous leading help maintain readability.

The overall tone is antique and dramatic, evoking old posters, folklore, and historical or occult-themed ephemera. Its roughened texture reads as tactile and timeworn, adding atmosphere and grit rather than polish.

The design appears intended to deliver a period-flavored serif voice while adding a deliberately aged, imperfect surface, as if printed from worn type or stamped ink. It prioritizes mood and material character over clean, modern precision.

Texture density varies within strokes, creating a lively, ink-bleed/letterpress impression that becomes more pronounced at larger sizes. In continuous text, the distressed interior can visually darken lines, so spacing and size choices strongly affect clarity.
