This is a serif typeface with old-style proportions, bracketed serifs, and gently tapered strokes that create a lively, slightly calligraphic rhythm. The outlines show deliberate roughening and minor ink-trap-like nicks, producing a worn, letterpress-like texture rather than clean digital curves. Round characters (C, O, Q) are open and softly modulated, while many terminals end in subtle flares or wedge-like serifs. The lowercase shows a traditional skeleton with a two-storey a and g, modest ascenders/descenders, and a slightly irregular baseline feel that enhances the distressed print character.

It suits display and short-to-medium text where texture is desirable: book jackets, vintage-inspired posters, labels and packaging, editorial pull quotes, and event materials. It works especially well when you want serif readability but with a distressed, analog surface that adds atmosphere.

The overall tone feels antique and tactile—like aged printing, book covers, or ephemera pulled from an archive. Its imperfections read as human and craft-driven, giving text a nostalgic, storybook warmth with a hint of theatrical flair.

The design appears intended to evoke traditional serif typography while introducing controlled wear and irregularities to simulate ink spread, aging, and imperfect printing. It aims for legibility first, using distressing as a surface treatment to add character and period mood.

In continuous text, the rough edges remain visible without overwhelming the letterforms, creating a consistent grain across strokes. Numerals are similarly styled and slightly varied in width, matching the hand-inked, printed effect across the set.
