This serif has softly modulated strokes with evident calligraphic influence and bracketed, gently flaring serifs. Proportions feel open and slightly expansive, with rounded bowls and a steady, readable rhythm in both uppercase and lowercase. Terminals often end in subtle teardrop or wedge-like shapes, giving curves a lively finish without becoming decorative. The lowercase shows traditional forms (notably a two-storey “g” and a compact “a”), and the figures follow the same old-style logic with smooth curves and modest contrast.

Well suited to book typography and editorial settings where sustained readability and a familiar serif texture are important. It also works for cultural branding, publishing identities, and headlines that benefit from a classic, human voice rather than a sharp modern tone.

The overall tone is warm and literary, combining a classical, print-oriented feel with a touch of hand-made softness. It reads as approachable and traditional rather than formal or rigid, suited to content that wants a human presence without sacrificing clarity.

The design appears intended to provide a comfortable, print-like reading experience with an old-style, calligraphic backbone and a slightly roomy footprint. It aims for timelessness and warmth, balancing traditional letterforms with enough liveliness in terminals and serifs to keep the page engaging.

In the sample text the texture stays even across lines, with clear differentiation between similar shapes (such as I/l/1 and O/0) helped by serifs and varied terminals. The uppercase has a dignified presence for headings, while the lowercase maintains a comfortable, continuous flow for longer passages.
