A robust text serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and compact, bracketed serifs that end in sharp, beak-like terminals. The capitals are broad and stable with clear vertical stress, while curves show tight, controlled transitions and small apertures that keep the color dense. Lowercase forms are sturdy and slightly compact in their counters, with a two-storey “a” and “g”, a short-shouldered “r”, and a distinctive ball terminal on “y”. Figures are weighty and slightly oldstyle in feel, with varied widths and strong, confident strokes that hold up at display sizes.

Well suited to editorial design, book typography, and publication-style headlines where a classic serif voice is needed. The sturdy shapes and strong contrast also make it effective for posters, title treatments, and branding that aims for tradition and authority.

The overall tone is classic and authoritative, projecting a bookish, institutional voice. Its strong contrast and crisp serifs add a refined, editorial flavor, while the dense color keeps it serious and assertive rather than delicate.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional, readable serif with elevated contrast and emphatic, finely finished terminals—aiming for a classic print-centric impression that can move comfortably from text to headline settings.

In text lines, the font creates a dark, even texture with emphatic punctuation and a prominent ampersand. The “Q” has a bold, sweeping tail, and the “W” and “M” are notably wide, reinforcing a stately, traditional rhythm.
