A compact old-style serif with bracketed serifs, tapered strokes, and lively modulation that feels driven by a broad-nib pen. Curves are slightly irregular and ink-like, with softened joins and subtly roughened terminals that add a lightly distressed, printed texture. Capitals are sturdy and classical, while the lowercase shows a tight rhythm, relatively small counters, and modest extenders; the italics are not shown and the roman stays firm and upright. Numerals are old-fashioned in feel with uneven widths and varied silhouettes, matching the face’s organic, slightly worn texture.

Works well for book covers, chapter heads, pull quotes, and editorial settings where a classical serif with a tactile, printed character is desirable. It also suits historical or artisanal branding and packaging that benefits from a traditional, slightly weathered typographic voice.

The font conveys an antique, bookish tone—evoking early print, letterpress pages, and traditional editorial typography. Its mild roughness and calligraphic stress add warmth and tactility, giving text a human, historical presence rather than a crisp modern neutrality.

The design appears intended to reinterpret an old-style book serif through a subtly distressed, ink-impression lens—prioritizing warmth, period flavor, and a human rhythm over clinical precision.

Spacing reads intentionally a bit uneven and rhythmic, reinforcing the impression of ink on paper. The serif shapes and terminals are not razor-sharp; they appear softened and slightly blunted, which helps the face feel comfortable at display sizes while still reading as a classic text-oriented design.
