This serif features sturdy verticals with subtly tapered, flared endings that transition into bracketed serifs, giving the strokes a sculpted, carved feel. The design shows moderate thick–thin modulation and crisp, triangular apexes on letters like A, V, and W, balanced by rounded bowls and smooth curves in C, O, and G. Counters are relatively compact and the rhythm is tight, producing a dense, emphatic color in text. Numerals and capitals share the same authoritative stance, with clear wedge-like serifs and consistent detailing across the set.

Well-suited to magazine and newspaper-style typography, book jackets, and title treatments where a strong serif voice is desired. It can also support branding and packaging that aims for heritage, gravitas, or a premium classical tone, particularly at display and subhead sizes where the flared details read clearly.

The overall tone is traditional and assertive, with a bookish, editorial confidence. Its sharp serifs and flared stroke endings add a slightly theatrical, engraved character that feels formal and established rather than casual.

The design appears intended to combine traditional serif authority with flared, wedge-like finishing for extra presence and texture. It aims to deliver a strong, compact text color while preserving legible, familiar letterforms suitable for prominent editorial and titling work.

The lowercase shows distinctive, lively terminals—especially on a, r, and y—adding personality without becoming ornate. The Q’s tail and the curved hooks on letters like J and y introduce small expressive gestures that help keep long passages from feeling overly rigid.
