A high-contrast serif with crisp, bracketed serifs and a clear calligraphic axis. Stems stay firm while hairlines taper to fine points, creating a sharp, luminous rhythm in both text and display sizes. Capitals are stately and moderately wide with smooth, continuous curves (notably in C, G, and O), while the lowercase shows compact, traditional forms with a two-storey a, a looped g, and a tapered, slightly earred r. Numerals follow the same contrast pattern, with elegant curves and pointed terminals that keep the set consistent.

Well-suited to long-form reading in books and editorial layouts where contrast and classic serif detailing add authority. It also performs nicely in magazine headlines, pull quotes, and brand wordmarks that benefit from a refined, traditional voice.

The overall tone is classical and cultivated, evoking book typography and established editorial design. Its sharp hairlines and poised proportions read as confident and formal rather than casual, with a slightly dramatic sheen that suits sophisticated communication.

The font appears designed to deliver a conventional, literary serif experience with elevated contrast and polished finishing, balancing readability with a touch of display elegance. The consistent stress and disciplined serif treatment suggest an intention to feel timeless and trustworthy while still looking crisp in contemporary layouts.

The design favors clean, sculpted joins and relatively narrow internal counters in several letters, which heightens the sense of precision. Italic is not shown in the samples; the upright roman carries most of the personality through contrast, pointed terminals, and restrained warmth in the curves.
