A high-contrast serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and crisp, bracketed serifs that taper to sharp points. The capitals are spacious with wide, open counters (notably in C, O, and Q) and a stately, slightly sculpted silhouette. Lowercase forms show a traditional text rhythm with a single-storey g, a two-storey a, and angled stress that reads as calligraphically influenced rather than geometric. Numerals follow the same contrasty model, with a distinctive, curling 2 and a balanced, round 8, giving the set a polished, display-capable texture.

Best suited to headlines, magazine and editorial typography, book covers, and identity work where a classical serif voice and strong contrast can be showcased. It can also serve for pull quotes or section openers, where its sharp details and sculpted forms remain legible and expressive.

The overall tone is classic and authoritative, with a refined, editorial feel. Its sharp serifs and dramatic contrast suggest a premium, literary character—confident and formal rather than casual or utilitarian.

The design appears intended to deliver a traditional serif voice with heightened contrast and wide proportions for strong presence on the page. It prioritizes elegance and authority, aiming for a polished, publishable look that reads as timeless and upscale.

In text settings the heavy verticals and delicate hairlines create a lively page color and clear word shapes, especially at larger sizes. The spacing appears generous, helping the wide proportions feel composed, while the crisp serifs add a slightly theatrical, engraved-like finish in headlines.
