A compact text serif with bracketed serifs, sturdy verticals, and subtly tapered strokes that show a mild, calligraphic modulation. Terminals and serifs are slightly rounded and irregular, producing a gently worn, inked texture rather than crisp geometric precision. Counters are moderately open, curves are slightly flattened in places, and joins show small darkening that reinforces an organic, printed rhythm. Uppercase proportions feel steady and traditional, while the lowercase has a calm, readable stance with a modest x-height and straightforward, unexaggerated ascenders and descenders.

Well suited to long-form reading in books and editorial layouts where a traditional serif voice and comfortable rhythm are desired. It can also add a crafted, heritage feel to packaging, labels, and identity applications that benefit from an understated vintage texture.

The overall tone is classic and literary, with a human, tactile imprint reminiscent of letterpress or well-used book type. Its mild roughness and softened edges add warmth and approachability, suggesting editorial seriousness without feeling sterile or corporate.

The design appears intended to balance familiar old-style readability with a subtle hand-printed patina, giving text a lived-in presence while maintaining conventional proportions and dependable spacing.

In larger sizes the irregular edge behavior becomes a defining character feature, adding texture to headlines and pull quotes. At smaller sizes it reads as a conventional old-style text face, with the slightly softened details contributing to a darker, more inked color on the page.
