A crisp serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and sharp, bracketed serifs. Capitals are stately and slightly condensed in feel, with clean joins and controlled curves; the C and G show a sculpted, open bowl, and the Q carries a restrained diagonal tail. Lowercase forms are compact and readable, with a two‑storey a, open counters, and a sturdy, straight‑stemmed rhythm; terminals tend toward tapered, slightly calligraphic endings rather than blunt cuts. Numerals align with the text color, mixing oldstyle-like curves with upright structure for a traditional, page-friendly texture.

Well suited to book interiors, long-form editorial work, and magazine typography where a classic serif voice is desired. It can handle headings and pull quotes gracefully, while remaining comfortable for continuous reading in body sizes.

The font conveys a composed, traditional tone associated with books and established editorial typography. Its high-contrast drawing and neat finishing details read as refined and authoritative, with a quiet elegance suited to serious, information-forward settings.

The design appears intended as a conventional, all-purpose text serif that prioritizes readability and a polished, literary character. Its controlled contrast and bracketed serifs aim to deliver a familiar, trustworthy typographic voice for publishing and editorial layouts.

In paragraph text it maintains an even, dark text color without feeling heavy, aided by consistent spacing and clear interior shapes. The design favors clarity and restraint over decorative flair, with just enough sharpness in serifs and terminals to add sophistication at display sizes.
