A high-contrast serif with sharp hairlines and strong vertical stems, creating a crisp black–white rhythm on the page. Serifs are finely bracketed and tapered, with pointed terminals and a distinctly chiseled feel in diagonals and joins. Proportions show a tall lowercase with relatively large x-height and compact ascenders, while capitals feel stately and slightly narrower, emphasizing verticality. Curves are smoothly drawn but tighten at entry/exit points, and the overall spacing reads even and text-ready in the sample setting.

Well suited to long-form editorial typography where a refined, traditional voice is needed, such as books, essays, and magazine features. It also performs strongly in display sizes for headlines, pull quotes, and luxury-leaning branding, and can lend formality to invitations and announcements where crisp serif detail is desirable.

The tone is classic and cultivated, with an editorial polish suited to traditional reading environments. Its contrast and sharp detailing add a sense of sophistication and ceremony, while the sturdy verticals keep it from feeling overly delicate.

The design appears intended as a conventional text serif with elevated contrast and finely finished details, balancing readability with an elegant, upscale personality. Its tall lowercase and disciplined rhythm suggest it was drawn to set comfortably in paragraphs while still delivering a distinctive, polished presence in larger settings.

Several forms show a calligraphic impulse—thin connecting strokes, pinched joins, and tapered ends—especially noticeable in letters like a, f, y, and the curved bowls. Numerals appear lining and share the same contrast and crisp finishing, giving figures a headline-like presence alongside text.
