A jagged, distressed serif with a right-leaning slant and a dark, ink-heavy presence. Strokes end in sharp, thorn-like terminals and irregular wedges, with rough edges that mimic torn paper or dry-brush ink. The letterforms show uneven texture and slightly inconsistent widths, creating an organic rhythm; counters are often pinched or notched, and curves are subtly flattened by chiseled cuts. Numerals and capitals carry the same aggressive, irregular finishing, keeping the texture consistent across the set.

Best suited for display settings where texture and mood are the priority: horror and thriller titles, Halloween and event promotion, game UI headings, album/playlist artwork, and dramatic packaging or labels. It can also work for short pull quotes or chapter openers when you want an intentionally distressed, spooky voice.

The overall tone is ominous and theatrical, evoking horror title cards, occult ephemera, and haunted-era print. Its rough, spiked silhouettes read as tense and unsettling rather than friendly or neutral, making it feel deliberately “cursed” and high-drama.

The design appears intended to merge an old-world serif structure with aggressive, irregular damage—like a vintage print that has been clawed, burned, or ink-splattered—so the typography itself contributes to a horror narrative. The consistent spiky terminals and rough perimeter suggest a focus on atmosphere and impact over clean text performance.

In longer sample lines the distressed edges create a lively shimmer, especially around joins and terminals, which boosts character but can visually crowd at small sizes. The distinctive, notched serifs and scratchy contours help words feel handcrafted and aged rather than mechanically precise.
