A distressed serif with a typewriter-like skeleton and visibly irregular, worn edges. Strokes show blotchy ink spread and broken contours, with soft, uneven terminals that mimic degraded printing. The serif structure is sturdy and readable, with slightly flared feet and compact counters; curves and joins are intentionally roughened for a consistently battered texture. Overall spacing is straightforward and text-forward, while the surface noise creates a lively, uneven rhythm across lines.

Works well for display and short-to-medium text where a vintage printed texture is desirable—posters, book and magazine covers, title treatments, and packaging that benefits from a rugged, archival tone. It can also support captions or pull quotes when you want a subtle typewriter mood with added grit, provided the size is large enough to keep the distressed details from filling in.

The font conveys an analog, printed-from-the-archives feeling—grimy, utilitarian, and a bit ominous. Its rough texture suggests age, urgency, and authenticity, evoking paperwork, classified documents, and hardboiled ephemera rather than polished editorial typography.

Designed to deliver a classic typewriter/serif foundation while simulating worn metal type or poorly inked printing. The goal appears to be readable letterforms with a strong atmospheric layer—evoking age, imperfection, and tactile ink on paper.

The distressing is applied consistently across uppercase, lowercase, and numerals, producing a convincing ink-wear effect without collapsing letter recognition. At larger sizes the texture becomes a primary visual feature, while at smaller sizes it reads more like general grit and softening.
