A conventional serif text face with bracketed, wedge-like serifs and softly modeled strokes. The forms show moderate stroke modulation with a subtle diagonal stress, producing a calm, bookish rhythm rather than a rigid, high-contrast look. Uppercase proportions are fairly traditional, with sturdy verticals and gently flared terminals; curves are smooth and evenly weighted. The lowercase is readable and steady, with a two-storey “a,” a double-storey “g,” and relatively open counters; the “e” has a slightly angled crossbar that adds a mild calligraphic flavor. Numerals appear oldstyle, with varied heights and a flowing, text-friendly texture.

Well suited for long-form reading such as book interiors, essays, and editorial layouts where steady rhythm and clear letterforms are priorities. It also fits institutional or scholarly materials—programs, reports, and headings—where a traditional serif voice is desired.

The font conveys a familiar, authoritative tone associated with printed literature and editorial typography. Its restrained contrast and bracketed serifs feel composed and trustworthy, leaning toward academic and heritage cues without becoming ornate or decorative.

The design appears intended as a dependable, general-purpose text serif: familiar proportions, moderate modulation, and classic detailing aimed at comfortable continuous reading and a traditional typographic presence.

Spacing in the sample text reads even and comfortable, creating a consistent paragraph color at larger sizes. Serifs are not overly sharp, and many joins are gently rounded, which helps maintain smoothness across mixed-case text. The italic is not shown in the images, so the observed character is based on the upright only.
